The Employment and Labor Law Rules in Denmark and the United States are vastly different. In short, the Danish environment is very highly regulated whereas the American system leaves more to the parties’ agreement. Setting up an appropriate employment contract and taking the appropriate steps in conjunction with laying off employees are advisable steps to avoid subsequent disputes and claims. Special considerations are always necessary in conjunction with the stationing of employees from Denmark to the United States and visa versa.
